Many readers correctly identified this as the practice green at Springbrook Golf Club in Leeds.The silo in the background was once part of the working farm owned by theWoolworth Estate that raised Angus cattle but now houses the clubhouse. In 1965, former Hall of Fame PGA professional Al Biondi bought the property and opened the golf course in 1966. Justin Moreau, 11, of Lewiston knew exactly where last week’s mystery photo was taken as he often plays and reads books in “The Castle” in the children’s department on the third floor of the Lewiston Public Library. According to LPL Director Rick Speer, “The Castle” was designed in 1999 by Andy Hyland of Port City Architects. It replaced the very popular “Mouse Hole” that was a fixture in the old library from 1978- 1995.
