Lisbon's Emmett Mooney was the first over the hurdle and never looked back as he went on to win Thursday's 110 hurdles at the MVC Championships in Lisbon.

Lewiston firefighters work to extricate the male driver of the other vehicle. Belongie said that he was traveling behind the black sedan when the white SUV attepted to pass another vehicle in the middle turning lane and veered into oncoming traffic, hitting the black sedan. "Five more seconds and that would have been me." said a visibly shaken Belongie.

Megan McManus paddles around Sabattus Pond in Sabattus early Tuesday evening with her dogs after a strong afternoon breeze calmed down and made for smooth paddling along the shore. She lives on the other side of the pond.
