Ava Thomas of Portland, Maine, flies through the air during Monday's Modern Dance Class at the Young Dancers Workshop, part of the Bates Dance Festival. The world renouned festival, founded in 1983, brings young, aspiring dancers together with acclaimed professionals where both feed off eath other's talents and energy. A woman is evaluated by an emergency responder after she went up and over the embankment between Alfred Plourde Parkway and the parking lot of Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston Friday afternoon.
John Barbosa of Auburn, right, looks down at the damage to his car Wednesday morning that was rear ended in front of Russell Park Manor on Russell Street in Lewiston. His day was already going badly as he was heading to his friend's house to take a shower after his was not working. Sylvie Pedneault, from Quebec, center, whose car, left, was full of her belongings, was in the process of moving to Auburn when she was following behind Barbosas' vehicle when he realized the car in front of him was pulling into Russell Park Manor. He stopped quickly and avoided the person in front of him, but Pedneault did not react as fast and ended up hitting Barbosa. Both were shaken up, but refused medical treatment at the scene.
