The full moon rises behind one of the steeples of the former St. Patrick's Church in Lewiston Thursday night. This particular moon is called the pink moon not because it is pink, but according to the Farmers Almanac the name came from the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of the spring.

According to her common law husband, George Stanley, the two were walking across the street after getting a cup of coffee from Cumberland Farms when traffic stopped to let them past, but the driver of the Subaru pulled into the middle turning lane to pass the stopped vehicles and hit Wesson. She was taken to CMMC with a bruise to her knee and facial lacerations, but was in stable condition.
