Lewiston police officer Nicholas Meserve keeps an eye out for a suspect at the corner of Knox and Birch Streets in Lewiston as fellow officer Craig Johnson, background talks to a LA Cab Service driver at the corner of Park and Pine streets Saturday afternoon. According to police scanner traffic, they were looking for a white woman in her mid to late 20's who brandished a handgun and made off with $35.00 from a City Cab Driver in the downtown area.
The full moon rises behind one of the steeples of the former St. Patrick's Church in Lewiston Thursday night. This particular moon is called the pink moon not because it is pink, but according to the Farmers Almanac the name came from the herb moss pink, or wild ground phlox, which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of the spring.
