Standing on a ladder nearly 10 feet in the air, Bowdoinham artist Amy Mulligan paints a giant mural Sunday afternoon on a wall inside Munka Coworking on Lisbon Street in Lewiston where she was commissioned to create the piece. She has been working on it most weekends for the past few months and hopes to have it finished soon. She has yet to title the piece but it will be filled with lots of dandelions that she picked because they are wishful and hearty.
Lewiston Water & Sewer Service Operations Manager, Nate Landry, uses a Geophone Monday morning to listen for water running under the surface of a driveway on Mountview Terrace in Lewiston. "It works great for hearing the water and rocks moving around just below the surface, but you have to be careful as you'll go deaf if you clang them together." he said after they got a bead on where they will start digging for a suspected water main break.
Leah Grant, from Staples Gun Shop in Skowhegan, holds up a AR-15 pistol Friday afternoon after unloading it from a case as she sets up one of several tables filled with guns in preperation of this weekend's 45th Annual Twin Cities Gun Show at the Lewiston Armory. The event, hosted by the Auburn Exchange Club, features 175 tables and opens Saturday from 9:00 am-4:00 pm and continues Sunday from 9:00 am-3:00 pm.
