Liane Lamothe of Lisbon waits patiently in line with dozens of other area residents who attended Wednesday's Community Outreach Program in a parking lot on Spring Street in Auburn where Greater Androscoggin Humane Society was giving free rabies and other immunizations to area residents. Lucy, her baby Pomaranian keeps warm in her pocketbook, the youngest offspring of Sissy, who Lamothe is holding while another offspring from an earlier litter, Lona, begs to be picked up. According to Jack Black from the Humane Society, it is the first, but not the last time they will do this.
